Summary

Nasdaq BX is changing how it charges for co-location services, which means companies that rent space in its data centers will pay based on power usage instead of how many devices they pack in. This new pricing kicks in right away and aims to make fees clearer and fairer. If you use Nasdaq BX’s co-location spots, get ready for a fresh fee setup that could affect your costs starting now!

Analyzed Economic Effects

3 provisions identified: 0 benefits, 0 costs, 3 mixed.

New listed monthly charges for circuits

Under the $550/kVA rate, Nasdaq BX published concrete monthly fees for its offered power circuits. Examples include $1,320.00 per month for a 2x20 amp 120 volt circuit (2.4 kVA), $3,432.00 per month for a 2x30 amp 208 volt circuit (6.24 kVA), $5,944.22 per month for a Phase 3 2x30 amp 208 volt circuit (10.81 kVA), and $11,888.45 per month for a Phase 3 2x60 amp 208 volt circuit (21.62 kVA).

Exchange shifts to $550 per kVA pricing

Nasdaq BX replaced its cabinet density–based monthly fees with a uniform ongoing monthly charge of $550.00 per kilovolt-ampere (kVA) for cabinet power circuits. The Exchange eliminated density-based ongoing monthly cabinet fees under Rule General 8, Section 1(a) while keeping cabinet installation fees unchanged; the rule change was filed on January 15, 2026 and became effective upon filing.

Some customers may pay more or less

Nasdaq BX gave transition examples showing customers can see higher or lower monthly bills depending on the circuits they select. For example, a Super High Density cabinet at the current $8,800/month could convert to $9,907.04/month (Phase 3 2x50 amp 208V) or $5,944.22/month (Phase 3 2x30 amp 208V); an Ultra High Density cabinet at $7,230/month could map to $7,906.58/month (Phase 3 20 amp 415V); and a Low Density cabinet at $2,200/month could map to $1,320/month (2x20 amp 120V).
