Temporary Ohio River Safety Zone

From 10:00 a.m. on February 4, 2026 until 11:59 p.m. on March 1, 2026 (or earlier if cancelled), the Coast Guard prohibits entry to all waters of the Ohio River within the Captain of the Port Pittsburgh Zone from Mile Marker 13 to 32, Mile Marker 65 to 85, and Mile Marker 109 to 127 unless you have specific authorization. Boaters and vessel operators must get permission from the COTP Pittsburgh or a designated representative (contact via VHF-FM channel 16 or Marine Safety Unit Pittsburgh at (412) 670-4288); the Coast Guard will also issue Broadcast Notices to Mariners with updates.
