Summary

The National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program just shared a list of new petitions from people claiming vaccine-related injuries. If you or someone you know got hurt by a vaccine covered by the program, this is the official way to ask for help and money. The Court of Federal Claims reviews these petitions, so keep an eye out if you’re involved or interested in vaccine injury cases.

No-fault compensation and eligibility rules

The Program provides a system of no-fault compensation for certain people injured by vaccines listed in the Vaccine Injury Table at 42 CFR 100.3; petitions must be filed with the United States Court of Federal Claims (the Secretary of HHS is the named respondent). Compensation may be awarded for conditions not on the Table or for conditions manifesting outside the Table time periods only if the petitioner shows the condition was caused by a listed vaccine; the Court appoints special masters to consider petitions.

Monthly list of VICP petitions

HRSA published a list of petitions received under the National Vaccine Injury Compensation Program for January 1, 2026 through January 31, 2026. The notice lists petitioner names, the city and state for vaccination (or filer), and the United States Court of Federal Claims docket numbers for each petition.

How to submit information on petitions

If you are interested in any listed petition, you may send written information to the Clerk of the United States Court of Federal Claims and a copy to HRSA. The notice instructs you to file an original and three copies with the Clerk at 717 Madison Place NW, Washington, DC 20005, and send a copy to HRSA at 5600 Fishers Lane, Room 14W-18, Rockville, MD 20857, using the Court caption and docket number for the petition.
