Vetting Controls Use of Disposal Facilities

The vetting office reviews the application and supporting documents to decide whether a disposal facility meets DLA Disposition Services' minimum standards. If the facility passes, it is added to the Qualified Facility List (QFL) and the disposal contractor is authorized to use it; if it fails, the facility is rejected and the disposal contractor cannot use that facility for government hazardous waste disposal.

Annual 1‑Hour Paperwork for Disposal Contractors

If your company holds a U.S. Government contract to dispose of hazardous waste or hazardous material, you must complete the DLA application form (the notice refers to DLA Form 2503 and also says DLA Form 2507 is used to apply) and submit supporting documents (proof of insurance, disposal permits, regulatory inspection results) by email. The agency estimates 250 respondents, 1 response per respondent, an average burden of 1 hour per response, and 250 annual burden hours total, with the collection done annually.
