Northern Natural Gas proposes the Northern Lights 2027 (NL27) Project to build ten pipeline extensions totaling 28.43 miles in Minnesota and to replace a 7,000 hp turbine compressor with a new 7,700 hp unit at the Hugo Compressor Station in Washington County, Minnesota. The NL27 Project is described as enabling an additional 79.3 Dth/d of incremental firm service to project shippers for residential and commercial use, and Northern estimates the NL27 Project cost as $132,77,653 in the application filing. The company filed the application on March 2, 2026.
