Published Date: 3/26/2026

Notice

Summary

The U.S. International Trade Commission found that cheap erythritol imports from China are hurting American producers. Because these imports are subsidized and sold below fair prices, the U.S. will take action to protect its industry. This means importers might face new duties soon, helping U.S. companies compete fairly.

Findings Against Chinese Erythritol

If you are a U.S. erythritol producer, the U.S. International Trade Commission determined on March 23, 2026 that imports of erythritol from China under HTS 2905.49.40 materially injure the U.S. industry. The Department of Commerce found those imports were subsidized and sold at less than fair value, as published in the Federal Register on February 10, 2026 (91 FR 5895 and 91 FR 5920).
