USDA PSTTT Continued and Free

USDA is extending the Professional Standards Trainings and Tracker Tool (PSTTT) without change so it remains available for State agencies, local educational agencies, and school food authorities. The tool is voluntary to use, provided at no cost, and is mobile-friendly and compatible with iOS, Android, and Windows; the PSTTT integrated a former Professional Standards Training Database in July 2025.

Estimated Time Burden for Users

USDA estimates 10,006 respondents (6 State agency personnel and 10,000 school nutrition professionals) will produce 70,042 total annual responses, resulting in an estimated total annual burden of 17,090.25 hours. The average estimated time per response across activities is about 14 minutes (0.24 hours); PSTTT entry averages 7.5 minutes and recording one training is estimated at 5 minutes.

Free 60‑Minute Training Webinar Offered

All respondents will be offered a 60-minute training webinar on PSTTT features (one live session and one recorded session per participant). The webinar is provided at no cost and recorded training access counts as an estimated two responses per participant.

Tool Is Voluntary; Training Requirement Remains

The Healthy Hunger Free Kids Act requires mandatory annual training for school nutrition staff, but using the USDA PSTTT to search for or log trainings is voluntary and provided at no cost. The PSTTT is intended to facilitate compliance with HHFKA Professional Standards requirements.
