Repatriation Notices Rescinded; Transfers Halted

The Metropolitan Park District of the Toledo Area has rescinded three prior Notices of Inventory Completion published July 11, 2002; July 9, 2003; and December 9, 2009. The notice says the transfer of human remains and associated funerary objects removed from Lucas County, Ohio has not occurred, and the Metropolitan Park District will notify the listed tribes (Absentee-Shawnee Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma; Delaware Nation, Oklahoma; Eastern Shawnee Tribe of Oklahoma; Forest County Potawatomi Community, Wisconsin; Grand Traverse Band of Ottawa and Chippewa Indians, Michigan; Hannahville Indian Community, Michigan; Little River Band of Ottawa Indians, Michigan; Little Traverse Bay Bands of Odawa Indians, Michigan; Miami Tribe of Oklahoma; Ottawa Tribe of Oklahoma; Shawnee Tribe; and the Wyandotte Nation) that this rescission has been published.
