Monthly border encounter data online

If enacted, U.S. Customs and Border Protection would post monthly stats on a public Department of Homeland Security website. Each release would be due by the 7th day of the month, starting in the second full month after enactment. The report would cover the prior month’s totals and nationalities for encounters (including unique counts), gang-affiliated apprehensions, drug seizures, terrorist‑database matches, arrests of criminal or wanted individuals, known got‑aways, deceased encounters, and ties to transnational criminal groups. It would also list four counts: repeated attempted crossers in the terrorist database; those caught and whether released or removed; repeated attempted crossers tied to transnational criminal groups; and those caught and whether released or removed.

Yearly Homeland Security report on terrorist groups

If enacted, the Secretary of Homeland Security would report to Congress on foreign terrorist and transnational criminal organizations trying to move people into the United States. It would cover attempts by the southern, northern, and maritime borders. The first report would be due within 90 days of enactment, then once a year. The report would go to the House and Senate homeland security committees and use the Immigration and Nationality Act definition of a foreign terrorist organization.
