Alaska keeps seven licensing bodies running

The law keeps six Alaska licensing boards and the Real Estate Commission running beyond their prior end dates. The architects, engineers, and land surveyors board continues through June 30, 2033, replacing its June 30, 2025 end date. The other six bodies previously had June 30, 2026 end dates. The professional counselors and certified real estate appraisers boards now continue through June 30, 2032. The marital and family therapy and social work boards continue through June 30, 2034. The psychologists and psychological associates board continues through June 30, 2031; the Real Estate Commission through June 30, 2030. The Legislative Audit Division must report on whether the psychologist and appraiser boards followed recommendations from the April 17, 2025 and June 5, 2025 audits. Reports go to the Legislative Budget and Audit Committee by the first day of the Thirty-Sixth Alaska Legislature's First Regular Session. The law takes effect immediately and applies retroactively to June 30, 2026. It also makes an exception to the rule against extending more than one board or commission in a single act.
