Boards set committee members’ daily pay

Beginning October 1, 2025, each appointing board sets daily pay for Alabama’s joint medical and nursing committee members. This replaces the fixed $100 daily rate; the law does not specify new amounts. Pay covers any day or part-day attending an official committee meeting or function. Travel and living costs are reimbursed under state law for days spent actively on committee duties. The Medical Examiners Board pays physician members’ pay and expenses; the Nursing Board pays nurse members’ pay and expenses.
