Elmore County funds infrastructure and economic development

Higher vehicle registration fees in Elmore County

Beginning January 1, 2026, Elmore County adds a $25 fee to each motor vehicle registration, transfer, or renewal. Trailers are exempt, and the fee is on top of all other charges. The law requires a $1 fee increase every January 1. The Revenue Commissioner collects it at the same time and in the same way as other registration fees. The commissioner must also certify adjustments and publish notices of fee amounts and changes.
