Cleburne sheriff and revenue commissioner get $72,000

The law took effect June 1, 2025. Beginning with the sheriff’s next term in January 2027, Cleburne County’s sheriff and revenue commissioner each receive $72,000 yearly. This replaces their prior salaries, with pay continuing in installments as currently provided. Starting October 2028, both officials are entitled to any cost-of-living raises granted to county officers and employees, despite conflicting laws. The law sets no raise amount; raises depend on the county granting them.
