Calhoun County sheriff gets new pay plan

Beginning June 1, 2025, the Calhoun County sheriff receives an extra $13,966 per year as an expense allowance. Beginning January 18, 2027, the sheriff’s base salary is $114,290 per year. That salary replaces all other expense allowances and forms of compensation, including the extra allowance. The law does not provide prior total pay, so the net pay change in 2027 is unclear.
