Effective immediately, Lee County's Revenue Commissioner handles covered tax-land redemptions instead of the Judge of Probate. The commissioner may charge up to $50 per redemption, on top of other fees allowed by law. Charging this fee is optional. All fees collected under this law go to the county's general fund. The law does not change who qualifies to redeem land.
