For July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027, the law provides about $14.86 million from Arkansas’s Community Correction Revolving Fund. This includes about $12.06 million for operating costs, $100,000 for travel, $1 million for professional services, and $1.7 million for capital purchases. That budget has no dedicated computer-system funding. Another $75,000 covers federal asset forfeiture operating costs through a State Treasury cash fund designated by the Chief Fiscal Officer. During this fiscal year only, the division can buy vehicles using capital funds in its state or special-revenue operations budgets. Its director can also shift spending authority among budget lines within each of those budgets. Transfers require prior Chief Fiscal Officer approval and review and approval by the Arkansas Legislative Council or Joint Budget Committee. The transfer authority cannot stand without the legislative-approval requirement, and spending and purchases must follow state budget and purchasing laws.
For July 1, 2026–June 30, 2027, the law provides about $78.25 million from Arkansas’s Division of Community Correction Fund Account. The division can have up to 912 regular employees, including 102 Community Supervision Officer I positions. It can also use 10 temporary or part-time workers, whose pay cannot exceed their job classification’s limit. Funding includes about $45.98 million for regular salaries, $19.22 million for employer taxes and benefits, $100,000 for temporary staff, and $164,557 for overtime. The law also provides $5.285 million for reentry services and about $7.30 million for operating costs. Travel gets $32,180 and professional services get $166,229; state operations receive no dedicated capital or computer-system funding. This money supports staff pay and agency services, not direct household benefit payments.
