Arkansas can waive agricultural fund charges

From July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, Arkansas's Chief Fiscal Officer can waive specified agricultural fund deductions. These deductions normally go to the Constitutional Officers Fund and State Central Services Fund. The waiver covers special revenue under Arkansas Code 2-9-112 and deductions under 2-20-406(c)(1), 2-20-507(c)(1), 2-20-606(b)(2)(A), 2-20-805(c)(2), and 2-35-308(b)(1). The officer must consult the Agriculture secretary and notify both the state treasurer and the secretary about any waiver. This temporary authority is not added to the Arkansas Code, and no dollar amount is stated.

Arkansas rice board gets research funding

For July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, the law funds Arkansas's Rice Research and Promotion Board. The board gets $6.980696 million from the Arkansas Rice Research and Promotion Fund. That includes $6.966496 million for research and development and $14,200 for operations. A separate $15 million comes from cash funds defined by Arkansas Code 19-4-801, entirely for research and development. Spending must follow state fiscal and purchasing rules; the law states that spending should follow the supporting budget documents. The funding supports rice industry work, not direct household payments.

Funding for Arkansas beef and catfish

For July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, the law funds Arkansas's beef and catfish boards. The Beef Council gets $1.067076 million from the Beef Council Fund, including $1.037 million for research and development. Its remaining funds cover $22,076 for operations, $5,000 for conferences and travel, and $3,000 for professional fees. The Catfish Promotion Board gets $120,000 from the Arkansas Catfish Promotion Fund. That includes $94,000 for research and development, $25,000 for promotional items, and $1,000 for operations. This funds industry work, not direct household payments.

Funding for corn, soybean, and wheat

For July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, the law funds three Arkansas crop boards.
