The law establishes the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion Cash Fund. From July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, a temporary rule requires transfers at each fiscal-year end. The Chief Fiscal Officer must move only the fund’s balance above $300,000 to the State Central Services Fund. This money helps cover state support for mansion-related purposes, including staff and operating costs. The rule is not part of the permanent Arkansas Code and does not require household payments.
From July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, the law funds the Arkansas Governor’s Mansion Commission’s staff and operations. It allows up to nine regular employees and four temporary or part-time workers hired when needed. Temporary workers must be paid from extra-help funds, and their pay cannot exceed applicable legal classification rates. About $1.5 million from the State Central Services Fund covers regular salaries ($654,450), extra help ($12,000), and personal services matching ($224,124). It also covers the mansion allowance ($60,000), operating expenses ($201,830), annual maintenance ($112,846), and utilities ($235,000). Another $500,000 covers the Mansion, Grand Hall, and grounds, using a Treasury cash fund determined by the Chief Fiscal Officer. Spending must follow state fiscal laws, finance department rules, and the purposes stated in the budget records. These funds support state operations, not household payments.
