Funding for Arkansas Court of Appeals

The law provides about $6.59 million from Arkansas’s State Central Services Fund for Court of Appeals operations. Funding covers July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. It includes about $4.33 million for regular salaries and $1.38 million for related employee costs. The law allows up to 49 regular employees and two temporary or part-time workers, with $25,000 for temporary help. Temporary pay cannot exceed rates under the state’s classification and pay law. Other funding includes $276,129 for operating costs, $80,900 for conferences and travel, and $50,000 for equipment and other capital purchases. It also provides $360,000 for legal counsel, $17,044 for special judges, and $60,000 for mileage reimbursement. Spending must follow state purchasing, budgeting, salary, and financial controls and the purposes stated in budget records. This money supports the court; households do not receive direct payments.
