Arkansas counties get $1.8 billion in funding

The law sets aside $1.8 billion from the Uniform Tax Rate Trust Fund for July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027. Arkansas’s Treasurer distributes the property-tax money to counties as required by Amendment 74 to the state constitution. Payments cannot exceed the appropriation or funds available by law and must follow state spending rules. The law directs payments to follow Amendment 74’s purposes and supporting budget records.
