Funding for Arkansas public school facilities

From July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, the law provides about $215.34 million for school facilities and transportation assistance. The division also gets about $3.07 million for operations, including $207,500 for safety training. Staffing is capped at 32 regular employees and five temporary workers, with pay limited by their job classifications. The director can request budget transfers up to twice yearly, with approval from the Chief Fiscal Officer and either legislative oversight committee. Spending must stay within authorized funding, follow state fiscal laws, and match the purposes stated in budget materials.

Fund transfers for charter school facilities

From July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, Arkansas's education division can transfer money into its charter school facilities loan fund. Only money made available for the Open-Enrollment Public Charter School Facilities Loan Program qualifies.
