From July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, the law provides $274,075 for the college’s Child Protection Training Center. The money comes from the Northwest Arkansas Community College Fund. It includes $142,043 for salaries and $34,657 for employer benefits and payroll costs. It also provides $51,250 for operating costs, $10,250 for conferences and travel, and $35,875 for professional fees. This funding supports the center’s staff and work; it is not paid directly to households.
For July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, the law funds Northwest Arkansas Community College through two separate budgets. The state operations budget provides about $14.22 million: $13.53 million for salaries, $10,000 for operating costs, and $677,221 for contingency. The cash-fund budget provides about $96.56 million, including $29.38 million for salaries and $20.33 million for employer benefits and payroll costs. It also includes about $1.94 million for extra-help pay and $19.66 million for operating costs. Major facility and debt spending includes $14 million for capital improvements, about $4.15 million for equipment and other capital purchases, and about $4.05 million for debt payments. This money supports the college, not direct household payments, and spending must follow state purchasing, budgeting, and fiscal rules.
From July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, Northwest Arkansas Community College can employ up to 1,137 regular workers. The law sets pay limits for listed jobs, including nine-month and twelve-month positions and a 27-position information technology pool. The college can also hire up to 360 temporary or part-time extra-help workers when needed. Their pay cannot exceed rates under state compensation law or this act and must come from extra-help funds. These authorizations do not guarantee anyone a job or a specific salary.
