Arkansas funds utility oversight and safety

For July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, the law funds Arkansas Public Service Commission staff and operations. It provides about $11.73 million for utility oversight, $1.42 million for utility tax work, and $1.06 million for pipeline safety. Each unit receives money from its designated commission fund. Staffing limits are 91 regular plus six temporary workers for utilities, 15 regular plus five temporary workers for tax work, and 10 regular workers for pipeline safety. During this fiscal year, travel reimbursements must return to the fund and spending account that paid the original expense.
