Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission roof funding

Beginning July 1, 2026, the Arkansas Oil and Gas Commission can reuse unspent roof-repair funds from Act 338 of 2025. The law provides up to $275,274 in federal funds and $296,552 in cash funds for its Education Center/Warehouse roof. The state’s chief fiscal officer designates the federal funds and determines the cash fund held in the State Treasury. Agencies cannot award contracts or take on obligations beyond available funds. They can add grants, donations, federal funds, and cash income or funds not already committed to other uses. Spending must follow applicable purchasing, accounting, budgeting, and revenue laws unless a specific legal exception applies. Funds must serve the law’s purposes, as reflected in agency requests and executive and legislative budget recommendations. This funding does not create household payments or benefits.
