Continued funding for Arkansas historic resources

Beginning July 1, 2026, the law renews up to $1.118 million in remaining funds for the school. The money comes from the Arkansas Natural and Cultural Resources Grant and Trust Fund. It supports buying, managing, caring for, or preserving state-owned lands, historic sites, buildings, structures, and objects. Spending is limited to available funds and must follow the law's fiscal controls and documented budget purposes. Maintenance and General Operations appropriations cannot pay for this work.

Continued campus funding for deaf, blind students

Beginning July 1, 2026, the law renews two funding balances for the Arkansas School for the Deaf and Blind. Their separate caps are $20.750936 million and $35 million, paid from the Development and Enhancement Fund. The money covers campus property purchases, construction, equipment, maintenance, renovations, upgrades, improvements, and repairs. For all funding under this law, agencies cannot award contracts or take on obligations beyond available State Treasury funds. Grants, donations, federal funds, and uncommitted cash can supplement project funding, but Maintenance and General Operations appropriations cannot. Spending must follow state purchasing, accounting, budget, revenue, and other fiscal-control rules unless another law specifically allows otherwise. Funds must also follow the purposes documented in agency requests and official executive and legislative budget recommendations.
