Renewed funding for Arkansas community correction facilities

Beginning July 1, 2026, Arkansas renews one-year funding authority for up to $671,398 for Division of Community Correction facilities. This special revenue funding comes from the Community Correction Revolving Fund, using the remaining appropriation from Act 91 of 2025. It supports buying, maintaining, replacing, repairing, expanding, building, equipping, renovating, and upgrading property and facilities. Contracts and commitments cannot exceed available Treasury funds unless supplemented with grants, donations, federal funds, or other uncommitted agency funds. Money set aside for agency maintenance and general operations cannot fund these projects. Spending must follow state purchasing, accounting, budget, revenue stabilization, and other fiscal rules, unless another law provides an exception. Spending must also match the purposes stated in official budget requests and recommendations. The law does not provide direct household payments.
