Funding and staffing for Batesville college

For July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, the law funds the University of Arkansas Community College at Batesville. It provides about $5.6 million in state funds and $13.126 million in college cash funds. State funding includes about $4.33 million for regular salaries, $245,000 for temporary staff, and $750,000 for employer matching costs. It also includes $5,000 for operating costs and $266,680 for unexpected needs. Cash funds cover pay, overtime, operations, travel, professional fees, equipment, building improvements, debt payments, transfers, refunds, and investments. The college can employ up to 243 regular employees, with listed maximum annual salaries ranging from $40,098 to $214,799. It can also hire up to 100 temporary or part-time Extra Help employees as needed, using money set aside for them. Their pay cannot exceed applicable state pay limits. Spending must follow state financial rules and the purposes set by lawmakers. These authorizations support campus jobs and services; they do not guarantee salaries, provide household payments, or set tuition or fees.
