Arkansas funds deputy prosecutor staffing

From July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, the law authorizes up to 289 Arkansas deputy prosecutor employees. This includes 54 part-time attorney I, 14 part-time attorney II, and 16 part-time attorney III positions. The Auditor of State receives about $32.96 million in spending authority from the State Central Services Fund. This covers about $24.41 million for salaries and $8.49 million for related personnel costs. It also covers $5,170 for special deputy expense allowances and $61,500 for licenses. Spending must stay within the approved budget and legally available funds, follow state fiscal rules, and serve documented budget purposes. The law supports prosecutor operations, not direct household payments.
