Funding for Arkansas airports and aviation staff

For July 1, 2026, through June 30, 2027, the law provides $16.51837 million from Arkansas’s Division of Aeronautics Fund. This includes $15 million for airport grants and related costs, supporting cities, counties, and other eligible applicants. It also provides $12 million in federal funds designated by the state’s chief fiscal officer for airport grants and related costs. The remaining state funding covers salaries, employee benefit costs, operations, travel, and professional services. The division can employ six regular staff: a director, engineer, program supervisor or expert, two executive assistants, and program coordinator. Spending must follow state purchasing, budgeting, revenue, and salary laws, Finance and Administration rules, and the purposes documented in budget and legislative records. The law does not set individual grant awards or provide direct household payments.
