Arkansas senior centers get $2 million more

The law adds $2 million for senior citizen centers in fiscal year 2025–2026, beyond funding in Act 890 of 2025. It takes effect immediately and requires the Chief Fiscal Officer to transfer that amount from the General Revenue Allotment Reserve Fund. The money goes to a designated account for aging and adult services operating costs, grants, and programs. Spending must stay within legally available funding and follow state purchasing, budget, salary, and financial rules. It must also match the purposes documented in the budget process and legislative records.
