Funding for Arkansas state building repairs

Beginning July 1, 2026, Arkansas's Building Authority Division receives renewed spending authority for state property projects. Two prior funding balances provide up to $800,000 and $537,976 solely for hydronic pipe abatement at 501 Woodlane. These funds come from a State Treasury cash fund determined by the Chief Fiscal Officer. Another $291,864 from the Development and Enhancement Fund supports state property maintenance, renovation, equipment, construction, purchases, improvements, upgrades, and repairs. Contracts and obligations cannot exceed available funds. Agencies can add grants, donations, federal funds, and available funds not already committed, but cannot use their regular operating appropriations. Spending must follow applicable purchasing, accounting, budget, and fiscal laws and Department of Finance and Administration rules, unless law provides otherwise. Funds must serve the stated purposes reflected in the budget materials. This funds state facilities, not household payments.
