Arkansas renews health facility replacement funding

Beginning July 1, 2026, the law renews funding to replace the Arkansas Department of Health’s main facility. It carries forward remaining prior funds: up to $114 million from a State Treasury cash fund and $30.03102 million from a paying account. The state’s Chief Fiscal Officer selects both funding accounts. Agencies can add grants, donations, federal funds, and available cash not already committed elsewhere, but cannot use maintenance or general operating funds. Contracts and other commitments cannot exceed legally available funds, and spending must follow state purchasing, budget, and fiscal-control laws. This funds a state facility, not direct household payments.
