Solar grants cover maintenance and administration

Eligible Colorado permitting authorities can use automated permitting grants for software maintenance for up to three years after implementation. The Colorado Energy Office cannot deny funding solely because eligible work happens more than 180 days after receiving grant money. Work done before the grant award remains ineligible. The office can also use up to 9% of the fund balance remaining on September 1, 2025, for administration. This allows some money to support program operations rather than grants.
