2 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 0 costs, 0 mixed.

Free park entry for Colorado Ute members

Enrolled members of the Southern Ute Indian Tribe and Ute Mountain Ute Tribe get free entry to Colorado state parks. To avoid entrance fees at Division-managed parks, members must show a current tribal ID with an intact photo. Park rules and regulations still apply.

More state park outreach for tribal communities

By June 1, 2026, the Division must build on existing outreach about opportunities at the state parks it manages. Outreach must reach both Ute tribes, other tribal governments, American Indian communities, and Indigenous communities. The Department must report on this work at SMART Act hearings in January 2026 and January 2027. These outreach and reporting requirements end July 1, 2027; the free-entry benefit does not.
