Certain court fees barred for juveniles

Colorado courts and the state cannot assess or collect specified administrative fees, costs, or surcharges from qualifying juveniles. Juveniles must have been under 18 when the crime happened and under 21 when sentenced. Their parents, guardians, and legal custodians also cannot be charged these amounts. Beginning June 30, 2025, the law repeals the requirement to report outstanding balances owed by juveniles in delinquency cases.
