Food trucks gain access with fire checks

Colorado local governments recognize food truck fire permits issued after a certified inspection under the latest International Fire Code or qualifying standards. Operators must send the permit electronically to each destination government at least 14 calendar days before operating there. Submission is generally required only once per calendar year, unless the permit expires. Trucks must follow local fire codes. After a failed inspection or violation, they cannot operate there until they pass a certified inspection and comply.

Food trucks share health licenses with conditions

An active, valid Denver food safety license counts as a state health license elsewhere in Colorado; Denver also accepts active, valid state health licenses. Operators must send license copies electronically at least 14 calendar days before operating: to Denver when entering Denver, or to the destination government and Colorado Department of Public Health and Environment when using Denver's license elsewhere. Local governments generally need copies only once per calendar year unless the license expires. Trucks must follow local codes and, when using Denver's license elsewhere, state health rules. After a violation, trucks cannot operate there until they meet the required compliance or health-inspection requirements.
