Colorado's tax reimbursement program for property destroyed by a natural cause ends July 1, 2025. Coverage is limited to property tax years 2013–2024. Eligible real estate or business personal property must be listed on one tax schedule and deemed destroyed by the county assessor. Reimbursements equal the tax owed on the destroyed property for the year of destruction. For tax years 2014–2024, county assessors must send destroyed-property reports to county treasurers by December 15 each year.
