Delaware educators can teach through play

The Delaware Play to Learn Program allows public-school educators to use play-based learning from prekindergarten through third grade. Daily lessons across subjects can include child-directed movement, art, music, exploration, and reading for pleasure. Local education agencies can offer ongoing educator training in play-based learning, including existing state education department programs. Neither play-based teaching nor training is required, and the law specifies no funding. The Delaware Department of Education can issue rules to carry out the law.
