Bill Overview

2 provisions identified: 2 benefits, 0 costs, 0 mixed.

At-large picks must reflect counties

When selecting at-large members, the Council must consider geographic diversity. The choices must ensure each county has representation.

Family Justice Council adds new voices

The law expands the Council’s at-large seats from 10 to 12. It replaces one broad health-care seat with three focused seats: a mental health provider, a sexual assault or forensic nurse examiner, and a system-based police or prosecution victim-service specialist. These members are full members of the Council and are chosen by the Council.
