Background checks for marijuana business leaders

The law requires anyone who is or wants to be a director, officer, board member, or agent of a licensed marijuana business—or of a company applying for a license—to complete a fingerprint-based background check. When an applicant, worker, leader, agent, or anyone with 10% or more ownership gets a check, the State Bureau of Identification sends the results to the Division. These rules align Delaware with federal FBI record access requirements.
