Trade name rule changes delayed for businesses

The law delays changes to Delaware’s trade name registration process. Section 1 takes effect right away. Sections 2 through 4 take effect on June 2, 2025, with February 2, 2026 also set as an additional effective date. Before February 2, 2026, the Division of Revenue must do outreach to agencies and customers and post an FAQ on its website to explain the changes.
