Delaware delays business trade name rules
Delaware’s trade name registration changes take effect February 2, 2026, instead of June 2, 2025. The timing amendment takes effect upon enactment, giving affected businesses more time to prepare. Before February 2, 2026, the Division of Revenue must explain the changes to agencies and customers. This outreach must include a guide to frequently asked questions posted on the Division’s website.
