Family representation on Delaware’s autism committee

Delaware’s autism committee must include specified agencies and organizations, a parent or caregiver from each of the 3 counties, and a person with autism. The Governor appoints certain members; a majority of designated appointed members can add members. The Delaware Network for Excellence in Autism director chairs the committee without a vote. The director must arrange quarterly meetings that rotate among all 3 counties. The committee must set policies and adopt rules to carry out its duties.

Unpaid service on Delaware’s autism committee

Members of Delaware’s autism committee receive no pay for serving. They can be reimbursed for actual and necessary expenses incurred while carrying out official duties.
