The law takes effect 120 days after enactment. Delaware health officials, working with education officials, must develop or obtain written menstrual disorder materials from a reputable organization. They must make electronic copies available on their website or provide electronic links, and give materials to school districts upon request. Materials must cover the timing, signs, symptoms, basic statistics, and treatment options for endometriosis and other menstrual disorders. They must also explain how menstrual health can affect physical, emotional, social, and school life. Guidance must include speaking up about healthcare needs and follow-up care from a healthcare provider. Schools must post posters with the health department’s website address in every bathroom that menstruating students may use and in student health centers. Health officials may print copies, and schools may hand out materials or flyers with links. Officials must review the materials and links at least every 2 years for effectiveness, accuracy, current information, and working links.
