More school registration document options for parents

Parents using Delaware’s online public school registration process can provide proof of age or birth date instead of a birth certificate. The system allows uploads of any relevant personal document required by the school. Parents must complete online registration and provide proof of immunizations and residency. For prekindergarten or kindergarten, parents must submit the common statewide physical exam form, including proof of required lead screening. That form must include all current screenings and preventive measures in the American Academy of Pediatrics Bright Futures schedule. Parents must also submit an approved statewide developmental screening that includes social and emotional components. It must be less than 12 months old when submitted, or parents can complete it during registration.
