New hiring reports for Delaware public works

Delaware’s Office of Management and Budget must report annually on public works projects with total costs of $3 million or more. Reports cover the previous calendar year and include each employee hired or paid for each project. Required details include race, gender, home ZIP code, birth year, hours worked, and union membership. Veteran and disability status are included only when known; craft trade and craft training program are included when applicable. Agencies, including school districts and charter schools, must provide information the Office requests or requires. Applicable reporting requirements must appear in project bid specifications. By February 1, the Director must submit the report to the capital improvement committee’s chair and vice-chair and both legislative labor committee chairs. Other required recipients are the Controller General, the Division of Legislative Services’ Director and Librarian, and Delaware Public Archives.
