Drivers get protected repair shop choice

Beginning 180 days after enactment, Delaware auto insurers cannot require a specific repair provider as a condition of claim payment. The ban covers insurers, their agents, and their employees, and applies to vehicle repair or replacement work. It covers policies, contracts, and certificates issued, renewed, reissued, or changed on or after that date. Existing coverage is not affected until one of those actions occurs.
