Foster children automatically qualify for childcare aid

Children automatically qualify for Delaware’s Purchase of Care child care subsidy when placed in qualifying foster care. They must be in the custody of the Department of Services for Children, Youth and Their Families (DSCYF). That custody must be under Chapter 25 of Title 13. The foster care provider must be approved by DSCYF or a licensed agency. The Department of Health and Social Services must coordinate with DSCYF to set eligibility-checking rules, including required documents.
