Task force reviews small restaurant rules

The law creates a 15-member Delaware task force to review health department rules affecting small restaurants and on-site kitchens. It must identify unnecessary costs and other burdens, and recommend relief while protecting public health, safety, and the environment. It must also assess whether state funding is needed, and state agencies must promptly answer its information requests. Its co-chairs must submit findings and recommendations to state leaders and recordkeeping offices by June 1, 2026. The law itself does not change restaurant rules or provide a specific funding amount.
