Tougher penalties for related Delaware thefts

Delaware law also treats lawfully received property as theft when someone fraudulently converts it to their own use. Related thefts can count as one charge, with their values added together. They must show a shared purpose based on timing, location, and intent, or form one continuous theft scheme. The baseline offense remains a class A misdemeanor at $1,500 or less; totals over $1,500 are class G felonies. Above $1,500, class F applies when the victim is 62 or older, an impaired adult, or a person with a disability, as defined by Delaware law. Higher totals carry higher penalties: over $50,000 but below $100,000 is class D, and $100,000 or more is class B.
