Faster digital account review for grieving parents

Custodians holding digital assets or accounts must comply with a fiduciary's valid written access request within 60 days. A fiduciary is someone authorized to manage another person's assets. If the custodian misses that deadline, the fiduciary can ask Delaware's Court of Chancery to order compliance. The court must fast-track applications from parents or legal guardians serving as fiduciaries for their deceased minor children. It must aim to decide these applications within 30 days after filing, but that timing and access are not guaranteed.
